2B Front Brake Lines Hitting Mudguard

Never gave the banjo bolt setup a thought. Just frustrating when you order these from kitspares and they hit. I had already thought about making a bracket but the line doesn't have much flex so close to the fitting and it aims directly at the center of the bracket tube.

ahh looking at the pics i am reminded how the wing stays work. You can cut off the bit hanging down. problem solved.

The reason they are there was meant to be so you could bolt another L shape to that tab and also pick up the pinch bolt to stop the wing turning. Again RH didn't want the builder to have to weld anything so they made it so you could bolt. There is no reason you shouldn't weld a flange down with a hole to do the same but without the bulk of the L parts.

Edit - actually looking at the pic again is that the L just tacked on? I think that is the L that needs to be taken off and turned and used on the bit next to it.

I'm for the recognised way of the banjo bolts with the correct fittings to suit your need.

You can even get one to directly cut and modify steel covered flexi pipes lessening the needless fittings.

Don't worry about the changing of fittings. It's one of the easiest jobs in the world to do yourself as long as you follow instructions.

I just can't understand why people spend so much money having then ready made.

Thinking outside the box.....

you could swap the calipers left to right.

Just make sure you bleed them while off the car

with the bleed nipple at the top.

If this "fix" is used is it possible/permitted to swap the bleed nipple & hose positions over -- can then be bled on the car?
