Caliper Carriers

Hi everyone!

I've just received a whole bunch of goodies for my GBS Zero GT and was hoping to get the rear brakes and suspension sorted this weekend, alas I have overlooked something.

It seems the Calipers I ordered from europarts (http://www.eurocarpa...06e9ac42) dont come with carriers.

Does anyone know where I can get a pair of rear calliper carriers from? I have searched the forum and tried a couple of the reccomended suppliers and both have come back to say they dont stock them.

Ebay is fruitless to. Will any from another vehicle fit, e.g Focus, Fiesta or??? I'm a bit stuck at the moment.

Cheers,

Danny

I bought these cosworth calipers http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=13593 and they are advertised as including carriers but they are not a separate item - they're forged into the body of the caliper (unless I've also got something wrong - my kit hasn't arrived yet), so you may not be able to buy separate carriers?

I could be talking rubbish, of course... ;)

If they are returned unused in original packaging, you have a right by law that allows you to return.

If they ordered specially at your request, it might be different.

I've never had a problem with returning items to them.

They are human beings. Not like lots of scrap yards that try and put this re stocking charge on. Cheeky b*****s

Also try Brakes International - www.brakesint.co.uk - these guys were brilliant for me, went through stock and looked for some and picked some out. They had them on the shelf but even then, the chap said he'd go through their inbound "recon" stock and see if they could find some for me if they hadn't got any. Really good, friendly service. Ring 'em up though ;)

Arent the caliper carriers part of the bearing carrier?

I think he means the pad/caliper carriers - the extra casting that fits to the brackets on the hub (that you're talking about), and then carries the caliper casting and outer pads...? I know when I got my rear calipers they didn't come with these, and I had the same problem...
