Zetec Engine Serial Number

hey guys, i think for an IVA application you need the engine serial number, Ive got a brand new 2.0 zetec which i bought from GBSC but i cannot seem to find a stamped engine serial number on the block, ive looked on the flange above the starter motor where the number is normally stamped however i cannot find it. could it be any where else on the engine? if it hasnt been stamped does it need to be and is there a specific format for the number?

Hi,

 

I used the cast number on the sticker. Its the one on the black cam pulley cover with the welsh dragon. Just stamp it onto the block on the outlet side near the gearbox.
