Hi,
I'm looking for a gearbox for my Zero kit; I'm going for the standard GBS 2.0 Zetec engine & see some options when getting hold of a recon gearbox;
Specifically there appear to be different input shaft lengths/splines.
Am I right in thinking I need an 18T short shaft input on the gearbox?
Many thanks;

Hi, if you are going for the MT75 you need a specific prop shaft which is available from GBS. The Type 9 box needs another prop shaft - I have one hardly used, since we converted from Pinto to Zetec + MT75 when our type 9 box packed in. Personally, I like the MT75 - it's much lighter and smoother in operation but no doubt there are many opinions on this. Cheers

Hi thanks,
I'm going for a Type 9
I'm going to pickup the propshaft from GBS, its the input side - engine to gearbox I am not currently sure about.

The standard type9 and MT75 will fit straight on.
It's the longer input shaft of the V6 you don't want.
Both Type 9 and MT75 have the right bell housing bolt pattern, the V6 versions of both boxes don't

Input shaft is 1" 23 teeth. Fits sierra 2.0l pinto clutch and most early mondeo clutches.
