Moira Canal Festival 2016

We attended this event last year for the first time a few others came too. It was a great weekend and a real family event you can come for the day or there might be an option to camp over. They are very keen for us to come back next year. There was a issue with getting the kits on the grass area but we can sort this for next time.

It's worth a visit lads.

I travelled fro Kent to see my barge living sister nearby in Litchfield.

Made the trip well worth while.

As always, the more the merrier.

I fancy this event especially as we usually try and hire a boat each year.

Kerry, the canal is an old disused stretch that is still not navigatable.

Don't go trying to cruise down it.

The barges there are all lifted into the stretch by crane.

It is still interesting and a worthwhile day out though.

It was great fun last year lots on for the kids we stayed at a local camp site but was told by the organiser we could camp on the site next year just no electrics.

 

its free entry if you display a car, I will email the organiser nearer the date to see how many are able to come we will be there and staying overnight :-)

Marilyn and I enjoyed it last year, especally the battle on the bridge and the duck racing!!

 

Will try and make it again in 2016.

Do we have any ideas of numbers as they would like to know by the end of this month I can imagine most will just come for the day we will be camping I think at Conkers camp-site its a caravanning and camping site
