About Me
Some of you will know who we are, or have seen our car at the shows and other events - it's the green one with the gold nose cone - or if you attend the show at Newark you will have seen me with "Oscar" our Weimeraner, or "Baskerville" as Nigel Thurston has nick named him.
When I left school at 16, I trained as a motor mechanic for the Ford main dealer here in Lincoln. Over the next 18 years I worked for several dealerships leaving the motor trade as a Service Manager for Volkswagen / Audi.
During this time I competed in both Road and Special Stage Rallies in cars that I built and maintained.
I had to hang up my driving boots with the arrival of my first born Rebecca, in 1980, money being in short supply and children's needs and trappings being in high demand.
Having spent almost 30 years working for Her Majesty's Government, I recently became semi retired, working part time allows me to spend more time at home with Carole my wife, (who some of you also know).
Our car is a 2001 sliding pillar 2b that was collected from the factory in March that year and it was SVA'd in May 2003 at the second attempt.
Since then it has undergone some serious changes.
First being the engine change to a Toyota MR2 1600 twin cam power !!!!!.
Second was the removal of the sliding pillar front suspension in favour of wishbone and coil overs.
