How to stay alive after soaking your wife. I have been on a quest to have a useful roof and doors for my 2B for a few years, I think I’m at a point where I’m satisfied its as good as it gets. Not watertight but it seems to keep the worst of the weather out. I fitted the RH weather protection initially but with the doors on I found it far too claustrophobic and not really rain proof. I guess I was short of patience to persevere with it and therefore the result was not what I wanted. I went to a show and one of the RHOCaR members had a “Surry” roof on his car, asking where he got it from, he replied, I make them. Beer tokens were exchanged, and I was a proud owner…

Hi guys, I’m really struggling to find parts like front wheel arch brackets and arches. Typically last Friday the near side broke off and I had to leave it in the garage all weekend hart broken. any pointers in the right direction would be great.

Evening All, I'm currently converting a 'fleur de lys' van into a food van. At the moment, head height in the back isn't enough to stand, it needs to be raised be about 350mm. Does anyone have any advice on rivet bonding? I quite fancy doing the work myself as I'm doing everything else myself, also, the vans not running and I'm fed up of paying to get it moved. I feel like welding will be too testing of me. I have a gassless mig which is ok for rough bits, but dont think id get the finish im looking on the panels so thought rivet bonding could work? The plan is to cut the roof off just behind the doors, heighten the steel structure inside (welding) an…

Back when I built my 2B RHE offered an upgrade of coil over shocks. They were orange with red springs, and I later understood that they were motorcycle shocks? 2 are leaking oil and the springs have had it. The car is noticably all over the place now. Probably because they are not being used for their original intended purpose and installed angle etc. Does anyone know what they were and where to get replacements? Whilst the front have eyes top and bottom the rear had an eye at the bottom, and the top was threaded. I realyl dont want to have to compeltely remake the mountings that we made back in 1996!! Any help gratefully received! Thanks

Has anyone used ABS to make body panels? I have an open framed sandrail and would like to like to create a partial body. I saw this picture on another site, and I'm presuming the sheets are ABS? Would 2mm or 3mm be more suitable?

Hi all, Just got my new toy and starting to fiddle with it to make it just how I want it. The car has GRP seats and they are a little too far back for me. I would like to use adjustable runners/sliders whatever they are called! Currently, the seat is bolted to a frame through the seat base which is bolted to the floor. I'd rather not drill the floor so looking for a solution to use the existing mountings on the floor pan. I have no ability to weld or fabricate but can turn a ratchet from a socket set with some success!!!!! The holes in the floor pan are 275mm side to side and 330mm apart longways. I think, from what ive read im better off with a twin l…

  10. A couple of questions relating to a Sierra based 2B Plus: I have no air filters and want to fit some, so I need to adjust this bonnet stay to move it away from the carbs, where can I get a longer, bendable and adjustable version of this bonnet support? Also I need to replace the o/s steering gaiter so I want to buy a pair. I assume it is a Sierra steering rack, but gaiters I see online don't look like this n/s one - particularly the inner end (2nd image of the gaiter). Any ideas, or have they just simplified the design of the replacements to make both the same?

After an unplanned argument with a garage door frame, i've managed to tear the lower part of my passenger side wheel arch on my Tiger Super 6. Would it be more economical to simply replace if i can find a suitable alternative? Or patch and have blown over? I've never glued/patched fibreglass so unsure what the process would be

I am about to order runners for my RH car seats. Currently my seats are fixed and bolt through the floor, before I remove the current studs coming out of the seats is it safe to assume that they screw into captive nuts and I am not going to end up with nuts floating round the inside of the seats?

Afternoon, thus my first time here, so hopefully this will yield a result? I've had my Robin Hood for just over a year and need to nake a couple of modifications. No1. I'm looking to get a hood fitted, and wonder if someone can point me in the right direction? I'm based Barnet, Herts. No2 I have an usdue with overheating. The rad is placed in a really bizarre place/position, and I would like to know if anyone has suffered the same issue, and if so, how did they resolve it?

Hi All, I would quite like to change the colour of my tiger cat. I had initially thought about a respray, but then though potentially a wrap could also work and be cheaper. Has anyone had there tiger(or other kit) wrapped before? If so was it expensive? or how do able is it?

  19. Started by George,

Hi All, I have been trying to get the seats out of my cat, they are only the basic pad seats but behind the upright there’s something holding the seat in place which I cannot seem to separate, has anyone any idea 1) what is is, and 2) how on earth to remove the seat from it! Hopefully the picture below is sufficient!

Hi all, Does anyone have any idea on what this type of fixing is? And more importantly how to remove it? Attempting to take the shoddy pedal cover out to be replaced and sections of metal have been connected using these, see pictures below! I’m guessing it may just be a case of prying apart the metal till it pops out

Hi all, I can’t seem to find anything related to this issue so any help would be really appreciated. The bolt pictured below has come loose and the mud guard is rattling and moving around a fair bit. Any idea how I remove this type of screw/bolt when it has a has a rounded head and is loose? As of course it will just spin. Would it be best to grind it off and put a new bolt in?

Good evening all, First post on here, sorry if question has been asked before. I've recently brought a rh2b frame, sierra rear axle and sliding pillar fronts. I'm concerned about the s/s body panels. Can you buy them still? If not does anyone have the flat plans for them so I can make my own. Any other routes to take to get bodywork? Thanks in advance Dan

I’m hoping this will be an easy answer! I have looked in other posts on door hinges but cannot find the answer. Question is, are the hinges in the attached picture meant to just screw out? I can turn them a bit but then they get stuck, and I am wanting to replace them with some new ones!

Hi all, I’ve not long bought a tiger cat E1 and will occasionally need to store it outside temporarily. Can anyone recommend a good fully waterproof and breathable cover to fit? I will also likely fit the tonneau cover or full hood just for extra protection of the interior. Thank you!
