Hi all, Iโve not long bought a tiger cat E1 and will occasionally need to store it outside temporarily. Can anyone recommend a good fully waterproof and breathable cover to fit? I will also likely fit the tonneau cover or full hood just for extra protection of the interior. Thank you!

I am looking into buying a tiger Cat E1, and the owner tells me the hood has a roughly 15cm straight tear in it, he believes this is an easy fix, just interested to find out if anyone knows about patching/fixing hoods, and whether or not it is doable? Sadly I donโt have any pictures of it though!

My super spec came with this roof bar attachment and hood, which I presume is the original from Robin Hood but I can't for the life of me figure out how it stays up. The smaller bar goes into a velcro strap on the hood itself but the larger bar just seems to fall forwards. Maybe I am missing some attachment...

My original vinyl roof finally gave up the ghost so I was after a cheap solution. For those on a budget I made this in an hour from an mx5 waterproof cover off eBay. After adding fixings and tape for some edges total cost ยฃ25! It keeps water out standing on the drive better than the old vinyl and have tested in the rain up to 40 mph. It consider that only for emergencies if caught out by an unexpected shower. Another advantage is is folds into a tiny bag. Just a thought!

Having failed to find one, I am trying to create a 'shower cap' to put on the car when I am out in it and it looks like rain (i.e. not for driving under). I am only in the template stage at the moment. Someone posted a photo of a roof (not a full roof) they created, and when I asked whether the material was waterproof they kindly replied with a link to the supplier. For the life of me I cannot find it again. Can anyone point me to it?

Okay, I don't want to fit the roof and doors that I have - well I might fit the doors, if I use it in the winter, but I want to showerproof the cabin area for when it is parked. This is really so that I have more confidence to take it further, and to events, without having to worry too much about the weather and not feeling that I have to rush away just because of a little rain. My current choice is to create a shower cap. A while back I created a template, from cut up bits of cardboard and marked it up on some old window blind material. Today started fitting it to fine tune the fit, although the original template was a bit rough, it is actually going better that I e…

I recently picked up this Superspec and hadn't noticed until I met up with @AndyW but it didn't have a front numberplate. I presume the last owner preferred the look without a plate and risked the fine. I didn't want to take the same risk. So I purchased a set of 200mm brackets and these extendable numberplate holders. I had initially planned to use super strong magnets to attach them to the chassis near the front but I realised it's made of non-magnetic material so instead I used the 5mm bolts that attach the nose cone to the chassis to hold these brackets. I used some double sided tape to stick a thin layer of sponge to the top of the bracket to ensure it…

Ok so now I've sorted a few more things out on the 2b, next job is paintwork, I'm quite handy with my spray gun and compressor, so I want to respray the whole car, but the thing that concerns me is 1stly the arch extensions, on the passenger side where the arch extension joins the arch it has cracked the paint all the way around, how would I stop this happening in the future, 2nd the same has happened down the center line of the bonnet, what paint have you guys used, I see gelcoat is used a fair bit

Hi All. I am looking to replace some of the rubber trim around my 2B, e.g. bulkhead to bonnet seating, bonnet/metal edge trim, etc. as although appearance is good some of it is now a little loose. Any suggestions, recommendations for good quality, good fit items and sources? And what is used to stick the bulkhead/bonnet trim on?

Hi all My 2b passed its IVA 3 years ago and is now due for its first mot. When presented for IVA there was no window screen fitted, for obvious reasons. Since then over the past few years I fitted a screen but no wipers an washer, do I need wipers ect for mot or will I need to remove the screen to get a pass. I took it this morning and before the mechanic even started the test he stated it needs wipers so I never entered the garage to avoid a fail. I was told a couple of years ago by someone on a club stand that they are only tested if present on the car. Can anyone give me the correct information or advise. Thanks in advance.

Can anyone tell me what size press stud I need to replace around the windscreen and rear panel? I'm guessing they'll be screw in type? Is the windscreen laminate glass or plastic? How do you fit the press studs to the front screen? Help appreciated.
