Just got myself some new seats, I plan on using 4 point harnesses. I posted in a Facebook group about them and somebody has commented that you can’t use 4 point harnesses with tilt back seats? The car only has mountings for 4 point with no place to put a standard seatbelt, the original Sierra seats would have had a tilt back. I can’t find anything that says about it, only that the tester will shake the seats to see they are mounted firmly and that the 4 point harness can’t fit more than 20’ from when it goes through the holes in the seat. Has anybody any experience of this?

I purchased new windscreen supports as the old ones were rusty. The angle is a lot different from the ones I took off, this meaning the windscreen will have less of an angle leaning back. Anyone else had this?

HI, I'm planning to sell my S7 soon so spent the weekend checking it over to prepare it for sale. The chrome has fully gone on the headlamps. I had a quick look at how they are fitted, popped out the glass and cant see how i would unbolt the whole unit, they are fitted to a fully boxed in section, then on the way home i thought do you access the bolt through the indicator hole just under? Any advice welcome, thanks in advance.

I am fitting a windscreen, wipers, demister, washer etc to an Exmo for the first time, having left them out previously to avoid test issues. I have modified the Sierra wipers as described in the build video. I have constructed bracketry on the firewall to mount the wiper mechanism in a position that gives the most possible penetration of the spindles through the scuttle. The mounting does not require any support from the scuttle itself. The spindles are protruding through the plasma cut orifices made by RHE. I attach a photo of one of these with a nut attached. As it stands, there is not enough clearance to attach a wiper arm. I have therefore a dilemma. I have invested a…

I have my gearbox out at the moment, as I'm going for a rebuild and higher 1st gear. Anyway, it made me think about the rear mounting point, which I know is the lowest point on the car after going over speed bumps! I kept it as on the Sierra, where a bolt with a long hexagonal end goes through a bell-shaped "washer", then the earth strap is screwed to the end of this hexagon. My question is why the need for this bell-shaped washer? Can't you just leave that off and put an ordinary set screw through the earth strap ring terminal and on into the gearbox? This would significantly raise the lowest point on the car, while still mounting the gearbox and creating an earth..…

Looking forward to my first track day in my 2b but scratching my head trying to work out the best places front and rear to attach towing web or bracket. I have a chrome nudge bar at the front which is welded in but still feels a bit flimsy. There other bolt heads that it could attached to but these seem set to far back to be of any use. As for the rear I can’t see anywhere strong enough. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks Stuart

Hi All, Not sure if this is in the right section but i've just purchased a robin hood 2b track car. Unfortunatley due to being a peasant it can't be stored in a garage. I need a decent weatherproof cover for her. Question is where is a good place to buy from with quick delivery. I've been looking at westy/caterham covers but unsure whether they are the same size. Any help is apreciated.
