PLEASE HELP I bought a 2B with a wish bone front end it's early 2000.

What i got to find out is what steering rack was sold with the kit, because mine needs changing i do no it's not a sierra one.

mine i belive is metro

but mine is sliding pillar not wishbone

I believe is also metro March 2002

Short rack with extenders on the rods, and the pinion about half way between centre and offside chassis rail.

Mine is a 2000 wishbone model... not sure what rack is fitted but it's defo different to the one that was on my sliding pillock model, there are more turns lock to lock...

I have a rack from an October 2000 Pillock model if you want it.

It did 2000 miles before I converted to wishbones.

 

IIRC At that date the wishbone wasnt an option????

 

Dan, I had to limit the throw on the rack to prevent the tyre rubbing the body, thats maybe why it was less turns lock to lock?

 

Anyway Colin, its sitting in the garage at Orpington if you want it.

Bob's right, the 2B with wishbone option was first available in 2001, I ordered mine at the Stafford show when they first came out.
