Zetec Exhaust

My new exhaust arrived safely today. Sadly it doesn't fit my series 3 but it is sold for a 2B. It touches the top chassis rail and is about 2 inches short of bolting up to the head. Local exhaust shop should be able to do minor mods to fit it.

I'm amazed that it should fit a 2B which I would have thought was wider than a series 3.

After speaking with Richard Hall at Outlon Park, my understanding is that the manifold is actually for the lightweight. I'm after one for my 2B, he says he will have to make one up (extend the top pipes)..... unless of course you ordered it extended, in which case they need to change the tape measure i would suggest

I thought it was for the 2B. Hence my comment that I was amazed it would fit. It clearly won't!

The lightweight is very small in comparison to any of their other cars over the years.

Needs extending by 2 inches and to come out of the head plate about 5 degrees higher to clear the chassis rail. I will still get mine altered localy.

Overall it is still quite a nice bit of kit at a reasonable price. (much better price if it actualy fitted!)

Does anyone  have a Zetec Exhaust Manifold? I want to play about with one to try and make it fit a 2B
