Super Spec Fail

Hi All,

My super spec recently failed SVA at Shrewsbury on a number of minor points most of which are now done.

However one of the failures was on speedo calibration. I had fitted the blue/grey speedo drive gear with 25 teeth (can't remember the part no) but the inspector said that this was showing 2mph less that the true speed @70mph. Should I revert to the yellow gear or would this make the situation worse or is there another gear I could use.

2mph less is a bit trivial but anything less than the actual is a no no unfortunatly, i would revert back to the yellow one (10mph out (more than actual)) or there is another, someone has come up with the answer but cant remember what the part number is, good luck with the re test.

Bugsy

It's a real faff to change the speedo drive particularily if the current one is about right through the range. Simplest thing to do is open the speedo and crefully find the current rest position of the needle, then remove it and refit it 5mph advanced.
