Thinking about getting a cb radio fitted in my hood when i re-do the interior and my next door neighbour has one of these which he says i can have. linky (this the the best pic i can find on the unit)

 

Is this radio anygood, i dont want to go spend money on another one, if this one will do what i want

you need a 80 channel fm, not as i did 80 channel am ,also it needs to be up to date there should be a code on it can't remember what it is but do a search, the northern guys have a lot of cb's

There are 40 UK channels and 40 EU channels. You can use the EU ones here as well as across europe but the UK channels can only be used in the UK.

 

I have only ever seen hoodies using the UK channels, whether at home or abroad! So you could get a UK only 40 channel set. However I seem to remember than at some point in the future the UK channels will be withdrawn and we will all use the EU ones.
