Sub-k Front End

Hi guys, a couple of questions about the my sub-k, the front shockers /inserts , are they from a Sierra? can you get adjustables inserts ?, Now the back end, Iam using the standard rear shocks from a Sierra, I want to lower the back end and wondered if I could get shorter shocks if so what car would I have to buy for, Iam not looking to have coil overs but looking to stiffen the back and front end, Thanks Guys and any gals that could help , Dave

The cheapest way to stiffen the back end is to get some rubber inserts for the springs..... Caravan shops sell them.

 

If you really want better performance you are best off switching to coilovers.

 

I'm not familiar with what is used on the front of the Sub K as it has that weird macpherson strut setup... sorry.

I have ben told they are the inserts of a ford P100 pickup truck but Gaz do a replacement for them

If youre using a standard Sierra rear set up (separate springs & shockers) you can lower

the car without changing the shockers.

They have a considerable amount of travel, far more than your set up needs.
