Blimey....

I just went for a quote.

89 sierra 2b still under construction and stored in a car port.

Driver 39 living in Surrey with 3 points 4 years ago and a £4k smash 2 years ago (my fault).

5000 miles, 90 days euro cover, £100 personal effect cover, Courtasy car, Fully comp and £50 excess.

Insured with Sureterm Direct for £121 per year.

I thought that was OK.

Finally got around to getting the insurance today and although I was going to go with Sureterm, found out that I needed a Thatcham certificate from an authorised dealer.

Well, seeing as I will fit my own immobiliser, it made no sense so chatted with Frank Pickles and was delighted with their quote.

3 named drivers and the same terms as Sureterm for £138 fully comp.

Sounds good to me :D

just called Frank Pickles to take up thier email quote of £98.70, told them I wanted parts only - dropped to £78.65 :D - then told them build date was 04 not 02 as I first said-- oops went up to £82.16, still not bad for 4000 miles, value £5000, no points and kept in a garage.

They dont like anyone under 30 and infact removed that quote after I applied for it but hand to stand by it.

Being at the young and dangerous age of 29 its tricky obviously

Aww come on you guys it's isn't that bad.

I'm 22 I have 3 claims against me in the last 5 years and had 3 points.

Adrian flux got me for £450 for 2000 miles on a 2.0 3A hoody.

Much better than my tin top being with Admiral for £840 just a 2.0TDDi 51 reg Mondeo.

So anyone want to swap?
