Hi, im just bought my first kit car, a robin hood S7.

 

Im stuck as to what engine to have fitted. Any suggetions?

 

Was wondering if someone lives near Crewe (Leighton Hopsital), if ok was hoping to come and have a look at their car before I buy a donor car.

Good thing abot the hood is that you can fit anything, some have even fitted 3.9 V8's

What i would say is that if yours needs an SVA then an older engine will be more lenient for emissions and wont need a cat.

Was thinking of the 2.9 scorpio engine or something like that.

 

Bit worried might make wrong decision and it might be slow!

what do you drive as a road car ?

 

650kgs of hood with a v6 its got to be fast.

The 2.9 v6 should be white knuckle ride, it was more about the 2.0ltr's, what are they like?

 

I used to have a 2.8i golf vr6 (tuned to 220 bhp), my pride and joy, wife got pregnant, golf had to go!! Now have a 5 dr astra 1.6!! Nice family car, or so she keeps telling me!!
