What's This?

Hi,

 

Please can anyone identify what the part in the pictures is? It came with my kit (2B4), but I haven't a clue what it's for

rhoods idea of a fuel filler, it goes inside the boot and the suplied alloy filler cap somehow fits on the outside?

looking at it ,it looks like it should some how fit in a rubbish bin lol

Worked perfectly well for me.

 

Not pretty, and not made in fancy anodised metal but it does the job at a fraction of the price. These are the kit elements which kept the costs down.

Just be grateful it's not the old welded elbow type.

 

 

Here it is, awful thing. I had mine plated (it's the gold pipe). It takes ages to fill at the petrol pump, due in part to the elbow - the fuel fizzes up and blocks the pipe for long enough to spit fuel back at you. I htink Enforcer's is much better with the flexi pipe.

well jon in the dark ages when i built mine we had to use the donor plastic filler neck out of the seirra and cut it and re glue it back together with epoxy.

mind six years on it has held up to the test of time and is still going strong

I had one of those filler necks on my Superspec and it was impossible to fill the car. Ended up changing for an aftermarket neck with a proper leadfree restrictor for SVA. Oh and I moved it to the boot cover to make it easier to fill.
