Hi, can any one tell me what i have to do to make the oil filler cap fit under the bonet??

 

Pics would be helpfull.

Use a cap that hasn’t got a breather pipe connection on it as it is lower. (From the EFI I think).

If it is still to high then some have cut out the filler and transferred it to the other end of the cover where there is more room but if you do this don’t forget to put a baffle in so the oil doesn’t get thrown straight up to the cap.

I had this problem when i raised the engine with 16mm spacers to clear the Dcoe 40 air filters , the filler cap fouled the bonnet so i cut the top location webs off so that it would fit in the filler neck further and it worked thankfully missing the bonnet by a couple of mm , when i can get hold of another rocker cover i will move the filler to the rear so that i can fit the higher breather type with fitted outlet pipe .
