any preference for above bike carbs dont know a great deal so asking the people in the know

hi i have fireblade carbs for the 1700 xflow

and gsxr 750 carbs on the zetec the zetec runs well when warm but is a pig to start as the carbs should have an electrical pre warm as on the bike, but when warm the throttle response is amasing, now just the sva emmisions to pass .

regards graham

both manifolds from boggs superb engineering but a long wait to be made.

Bike carbs are as smooth as silk, compared to traditional Webers..

I would 'had' Fazer 600 carbs on my 2.0i Pinto engine, and found the great, maybe a tiny bit less top end compared to the single 32/36mm DGV carb.. but in the mid range, ten times better..

If you have trouble starting, maybe try fitting a manual choke cable to actuate the starting enrichment valves on the carbs, I had mine held open with some wire, started easy peasy, but ran over rich..! and failed the mot.. scratched my head for ages before twigging that was it..!lol

Carbs off a GSXR on mine, 38mm, think they are from a 750.

2 psi through a Fuel King supplied by a Facet silver top, runs as smooth as silk but i may need to sort the jetting out for SVA.

Also have a MegaJolt for the spark.

from what i understand same problems as dc 40s but much cheaper.

basically i have bought 2 sets 1 fzr 600 and cbr600 to play with

keeping vacuum for dizzy and servo and breather with4 small pipes coming off each inlet into a tank to take the ancillaries off

bit of trial and error

also going to put main jets in lathe and drill out to 1.7mm as this seems to be the recommended size

hope it answers your question
