Farewell Love Of My Life

I find today a very sad day for aviation, yes my favorite plane Concorde makes it's final flight.

There has never been a nicer thing to see or recognize in the sky above my, and it's one of those planes that I see almost every week when I'm out working in the garden etc. Yes she is 30 years old, but she is still the most elegant and beautiful bird in the skies and IMO a great loss to the British Airways fleet. What will BA provide for the next Jubilee / coronation, I really don't think a 747 or Airbus will have the same impact and Concorde doing one of it fly bys! I also live not far from Farnborough Airport (Have an air show here every two years) and she is always one of the highlights for the crowds!

Goodbye Concorde, you will be missed :(

:( I Know wot you mean, MATT. :( Week before last I was at work in my van and had to pull up . I saw the most wonderfull siegth ! (no not another corting couple at it ) but a LANCASTER , THE Lancaster .It was coming into land at Barkston Heath ! ! ! I jumped out the van and watched her come in, the sound, the impression that I could reach out and touch her, she didn`t look to be going fast enough to stay airborn! the hairs on the back of my thing stood on end! There are many things that can bring a man to tears, a fridge full of beer, a baby being born and the sieght of such a wanderful aeroplane coming into land!! ( am I going soft or wot????)
