Donor Combination

I have a 2ltr pinto engine, 205 block on carbs (unfortunatley cant find an EFI), I now have an offer of a 1.8 K reg sierra, will all the gearbox and diff be good as a combination or should I keep waiting for a (non existent) 2ltr efi sierra?

Go for the 1.8 and use the 2ltr lump by the time you get to wiring up you may find an injection head and all the bits and as the engine loom, ECU etc is only connected to the main loom in two places will be easy to fit or if you find an injected head only then go for bike throttle bodies, or bike carbs. BTW if you do go down this route don’t forget to inform DVLA that the SORN'd donor has had an engine change.

i have a 2.0ltr efi engine on a 205 block. used the gearbox and diff for my build though

1.8 also has the 3.92 diff, best for acceleration. 70mph will be about 4,250. :)
