I think you will find that the Sierra clutch cable is the same length on all models and quadrants

But his problem is making sure he's got the right amount of free 'end' - the difference between outer sleeve and inner cable as I understand the question?

Bigger overall lengths are available - as said Sierra Cosworth is 1835mm - not the Escort Cosworth which the local place got incorrectly for me which is over 2m long. That one would have to route into the nose cone and back!

QH part no should be QCC1585.

It's not the length of "free" cable that's the problem, it's due to the way we mount the Sierra pedal box.

We don't get enough travel on the clutch pedal when it's pressed, therefore the clutch can still be dragging.

When you fit the 55 or 50 mm quadrants, the distance the cable is pulled, is now somewhat more than with the standard 45mm quadrant, therefore making up for the lack of travel of the actual pedal, this then makes sure the clutch is released fully.

I used the black quadrant, and so have some others, it seems to work just right.

It's ponly the genuine Ford ones that are coloured, the aftermarket ones are mainly all black, it's the radius from the pivot that counts, not the colour sweetie! ;) :D
