Mot Failure

Can anyone eplain how mots work of kits. Mine failed today on the CO emmissions test. The reading was 5.33% and ive been told the limit is 3.50%.

Depends on the age of the engine. Mind you my brand new 4L V8 doesn't even get tested but the it is on a Q plate

Unless your car is on a Q plate or your car is listed in the Vosa emissions test book, your vehicloe will need to complete a standard emissions test, 3.5 c/o limit 1200 ppm hydracarbons.

go and read *HERE* If you still aren't sure, then we need to know the date of registration on the log book etc.

5.33% is bad by any standard, your fuelling will be way out.

Get the carb tuned and you will get more power and better fuel consumption.

My Pinto on bike carbs with a noise restrictor in the exhaust and over fuelling like mad made 2.85%
