A Good Day!

Well after weeks of not being able to get a lot done on the car and a lot of losing faith in the build itself i finally dragged the car down to work for 5 hours...

managed to get the outer seatbelt nuts welded on, fully fitted the side panels, fitted the scuttle, got the engine running (never seen it run, i got the engine in bits).

gonna spend another few hours with it tomorrow and try to:

fit strengthening bars for the seats,

get the exhaust fitted,

get the peddle box completed and working,

adjust the four branch so i can actually turn the steering wheel without smacking the exhaust,

four wheel alignment and camber set,

fit bonnet

drag it back home ready to start on the cockpit wiring and trimming.

having all the equipment around me and the 5ft axle stands and a four poster ramp made building so much quicker..

i am inspired once more

Isn't it a nice feeling...

it is a good feeling, i really was losing interest in it at one point.

well, managed to get half of the seat fixings in (ran out of box section), strengthened the handbrake assembly, partially tracked the car for now, got the pedal box in (just not fully connected)

have my fabricator at work to thank for all the welding, especially considerinmg the way he's making the seat mounts, they are gonna be well strong
