Aldi's Yet Again

This ALDI kit is good enough for general workshop use, but not with the hose and fittings supplied. The bore of the hose is too small for tools that require a decent cfm and pressure. Take the analogy of trying to put 120psi down a capilliary tube. You'll never get a high flow rate and that is what is required to make these tools work. All that is required though is a trip to machine mart to buy a load of new fittings and hose and you do have a reasonably good set of air tools. The small bore hose they supply is unbelievably stiff when it is cold as well making it harder to use. If you intend to buy this kit, buy the filter regulator oiler as well. It will prolong he life of your tools.

Went along to our local store this morning for a look.

Didn't have any Compressor, Air Shear and 3" Air Cut Off Tools left, just a few Impact Wrench kits and air drills and I already have a few of them at home and at work.

Did come away with a 500w bench drill at a silly price so was a happy bunny after all :D
