just got back from jigtec after picking up the car.

picture was taken just after she'd fired back into life. made it home afterwards, but not without the odd drama, and the car wetting itself just a couple of miles down the road from jigtec!

hi jawald,

we've still got the original suspension, and it seems that the majority of the work that we wanted doing has been completed. i'd heard that bob had tried to get as many cars driveable as psosible in the last couple of weeks of the firms existance.

however, there were some very unhappy people there. i should say too that everyone there, other owners (in particular the guy with a can of "Easy Start"), those collecting parts, and businesses were really helpful, especially sid of sids tuning shop, who offered to sort us out a trailer if the car wouldnt run, and John, the boss at Vindicator who offered to get the car picked up for us, dropped off at his factory and stored for a week, and then told us he would drop it off on route to Newark next week! There was also the staff at "Ken's" garage (Jumbo and Wayne) who opened up the factory for us all, and supplied us two with cups of tea and offers of assistance. Jumbo's even going to try and find out which company had made a start on our hood (of which we could see no sign at Jigtec)

Oh yes, and the AA man (who runs a classic ERA) who worked out why the car was getting hot, and so swapped the terminals round on the fan so it was sucking instead of blowing!)

Worrying Bill?

Your not wrong there! :D
