Diff' type question

 

A diif' query

 

I have been offered a diff for my BEC Phoenix.

 

What I do know....

 

It is 7.5"

Ford

 

Code on the diff' is 83BG4025BE

 

What I need to know is what ration it is and if it is likely to be LSD.

There should be an ally tag on one of the backplate bolts which tells you what's inside. However they disolve or get broken off very easily. If it's gone remove the backplate and you can see the lsd unit if there and the ratio is written on the crownwheel in white paint. Pic is 7 inch 3.62 lsd. Part number 83BG 4025 BE, if that's the tag it needs to end in three letters, last two being AA for it to be an LSD I think or that might just be for 7 inch diffs. Not sure.
