Seen a few catches on the market, my s7 has stainless catches at the moment,

but i take it they are not iva compliant ( if they are, i will keep them on).

I have seen some rubber catches which are SVA compliant:-

rubber catches clicky

With my stainless bonnet, which is quite flimsy, the metal catches i have now have trouble securing the hood, as it moves or vibrates and the catches open :(

So, whilst looking for an IVA friendly solution, possibly rubber catches from the pictures above, and 4 locator dowels to line up the hood exactly each time with the catches and minimise movement.

Would all this be compliant?

Hi,

Ive got the same on my 2b. Been on the road 2 years with no prob so far, passed sva no probs (not sure about iva). I do keep meaning to add an extra centre catch to be honest just to be on the safe side. was just thinking of a steel cable with a carabina clip to something in the engine bay just to stop the front lifting if the catches were to fail.
