What a difference having the right tools makes.

Having had a frustrating evening snapping several drills I invested in some Cobalt Stubby Drills.................

 

I am putting together a list of my favourite labour saving tools.

 

Other than the obvious spanners, hammers etc.

So far I have:-

• • Dremel and accessories
    
  • Right angle chuck
    
  • Cobalt Stubby Drills

Air ratchet and a good socket set with a selection of long sockets.

Good set of taps and dies

3 Battery drills (1 to drill, 1 to tap, 1 to screw in fixings) 1 good one and 2 cheap ones work well)

I second both of these (rivnuts rule!) and would add a step hole cutter. Essential with a rivnut tool and a much cleaner cut than a drill bit.

 

TIP: Always buy one with a bigger range than you think you will need .

Definitely my Black and decker powerfile, the most useful thing I've used during my build.

OR.........save your money and invest in a freind that owns a garage. much much easier and costs you a few pints on a weekend

a good quality angle grinder and a supply of 1mm cutting discs.

The must have IMHO are, angle grinder and Mig welder plus a good selection of decent hand tools.

Defiantly couldn’t have built without them.

 

I agree with Bob but my wife would kill me if I found one.

The tool i use the most is my handy reamer from axminster tools great for opening up holes.

Hot spanner, solves almost every problem! (that's a gas welding plant, if you're wondering)
