Steering Rack Mounts

Hi everyone

 

I'm pleased to announce that production has re-started on the Escort Steering Rack mounts and they will be available for £29.95 + £2.95 P&P. We have a few Red anodised sets left over from a previous batch but the new ones will be plain Ali.

 

Sierra Steering Rack mounts are also ready and I will take a few snaps tomorrow and post on here. However, the Sierra ones are £39.95 + P&P. This is because the come with the spacer to raise them and high tensile bolts for fixing while the Escort ones are just as shown in the picture. As with the Escort ones, they are manufactured from a single Ali billet and CNC milled to fit the peculiar Sierra mounting points.

 

All prices are inclusive of VAT.

Returns policy:

In the event of a manufacturing defect, we will replace free of charge including postage both ways.

If you wish to return for other reasons, we will refund the cost of the Mounts only (i.e. no postage) minus 20% handling charge if they are in the same condition that they went out.

Sorry for delay in posting the Sierra clamps but Dunsfold is under a foot of snow at the moment and I can't get there

OK, here are the Sierra Clamps.

 

As you can see. there is a lot more materials and work that go into the Sierra mounts and they come complete with high tensile bolt and spacer block for the 2b.

Please, please, please notice the difference between the 2 sets of mounts.

 

The Escort ones have a round mounting at either end as in the picture of the rack (red mounts) while the Sierra ones have a round one and a triangular one to fit that specific rack (silver mounts).

Just trying to get some feedback about these mounts as quite a few people expressed interest in changing the unsightly U bolts for proper mounts.

 

Is this a good product for members or is there something else we should be supplying?

 

I've got them on mine and they look the Mutts Nuts, don't damage the rack case and hold everything most securely.

UPDATE

 

Madasafish requested the Sierra ones have the square edges rounded on the large mount. We cannot round it completely because of the way the high tensile bolt goes through the rack guide but think they will look aesthetically better with the edge rounded.

 

This modification will be done during the week but from now on, the Sierra mounts will have slightly rounded edges UNLESS YOU SPECIFICALLY REQUEST SQUARE ONES.

 

As soon as the mod is completed, I will post a new picture.

I only have 1 pair of anodised Red Escort Rack sets left and will be silver after that.

 

All Sierra ones in Silver as normal.

Right. Here's an update.

 

Mad Dog, Droid (modified ones sent today) and Shaft all have mounts.

 

Sharkey has a set reserved for when he gets back from warmer climates.

mine arrived today. well chuffed. chuck away the bulldog clamps and 1" box section and invest in a pair of these mounts. here are some pics of them sitting in place. please excuse the cr4p underneath the car.
