Adrian Flux Agreed Value Beware

^ seconded. I've been with flux for 6 years and when they offered agreed value at £15, i thought i might as well at that price. I was told i'd get a chance to agree to it before spending the £15, but nope, it came through at 3.5k and the money went out. Will be looking elsewhere next year, i got a couple of very competitive quotes that fluxed only just matched this year.

Had a response from them - exactly as I suspected and not surprising. They assessed it, that's the fair value for a vehicle of this year, type and condition (without even seeing the *bleep*ing thing), and no further discussion entertained without an independent valuation.

I'm not going to play their games any more. I'll consider myself robbed of £15 for sweet FA effort on their part, and ensure I send no more business their way. I'm not going to cut my nose off to spite my face and cancel my policy (although tempted) for this year - by next year I suspect I'll be building a Zero and I'll take up my policy with someone else.

Hey ho - you live and learn. Just need to look after it, I guess! And all the business I put their way in the 90's.... <hurumph>

Suffered a similar kind of rip off when I couldn't get hold of a transporter to take the Zero for IVA test, so had to insure on chassis no and drive it. Assured on phone that all would be ok and re-iterated several times the reason why I needed ins without a reg no, no probs says they and took my money in one gulp. Subsequently, failed IVA and because of holidays and work, didn't manage to get it sorted within a month. Flux phoned demanding photos with reg plate, phoned them and told them the car had failed IVA so they cancelled my insurance and kept my money (in spite of me asking them to merely suspend it). Surely a specialist kit car insurer knows what the IVA Test is and what the ins and outs are and should only ever arrange cover that suits the purpose? In this case my 100 mile round trip to the IVA Test cost me just under £230! I asked to be put through to their complaints department, only to be told that they don't have one - they bloody well should!!

Can I just ask why, if so many people on this forum get p!@@ed of with Flux, then can't we just not entertain them being in our club magazine and stop any secondary advertising through the site?
