hi does anyone know the best way to shortern clutch cable and the best way of fixing it to a clevis pin

i have seen a cable clevis at demon tweeks with a screw to hold cable,will this be a strong enough fixing for a clutch or would a soldered end be required

Speedy cables can make you up a cable but that does carry a price, the way you have mentioned is perfectly ok and is the way I have done mine,

Although being an RAC patrol with a clutch cable repair kit does help,

Have you get a link for the clevis, may be the same as the one I have used,

I didn't shorten mine... i made a new mounting for the outer cable at the pedal box end instead.

I would go with Shaft's idea, I did similar using some steel thick wall tube to space out the outer cable
