I'm currently building a small holder and box for my Omex 600 ECU. I was wondering if these run hot and I would need to allow for ventilation in the box?

Mine doesn't seem to. It lives in a box in the dash wrapped in foam to protect from shocks, but it's front is exposed (see pic) as is the back end with the multi-plug and harness. Never even noticed it warm but then I can't remember ever checking to see if it was!

Mine is held with some double sided velcro stayes in place and has air flow around seams OK

I was thinking of packing it inside the box with the foam that it came in, but I might just leave some air round it.
