I'm just wondering what people have done about insuring their kits whlist they are still a bag of bits lying on the garage floor? Do you cover the kit on the house insurance or are there specialist insurers what will cover your kit whilst you are building it up? I'm going to pick up my kit my kit tomorrow :yahoo:and wanted to make sure i'm covered if some pikey decides to help himself to my brand new zetec.

I tried Footmans James and they would not insure me with out a chassis or reg no. Frank pickles was ok based on 3000 miles a year (silly because its on axle stands) and finish value of £7000 it was £93 had a discount due to RHOCaR membership. Once passed IVA and registered final quote will be £130.

What do you think?

Regards

Mark
