I noticed on the front page there are still 5 spaces available... is this true???

 

If so can you put down Dean and Colin Morledge

 

The car will not be sva'd (unless we manage to get a really early appointment!) but it will be ready before then so will be the first time we can really test the car and scare ourselves!

Insurance query...

 

as the car most likely will not be IVA'd in time for the track day the car will not have insurance.

 

So do we have to purchase special track day insurance? And if so can anyone recommend any company who do this?

Even if it was insured for road use, use for racing, time trials, etc would be specifically excluded.

Its at your own risk, but its a sprint track, where each car doesnt start until the previous one is about 1/3rd way round the track, so cars are well spread out. After one circuit, you have to leave the track & Q up for another go. Any oopsy will definitely not involve any other car.

OK so after reading a few example policies etc in this situation its probably not worth it.

 

As you say bob its a sprint format so if you manage to have an accident involving another car you would be extremely unlucky.

 

If the car wasnt built by us then the cover might be worth it incase you do have an accident but with the mighty hood im sure there will be enough knowledgable people around to advise where to put the sticky tape to get it back together if the worst should happen!
