this is the result of spending the last few weeks a couple of hours a night, and a couple of weekends

 

glad phase one is near enough finished

 

 

1.5 inch primaries, into 2 inch silencer

 

think the worst bit to do, was rolling the perforated tube for the silencer

 

 

 

phase 2 has been started, and that is to take the pipe from the silencer, out under the wheel arch and out the back

The shape of the primaries looks very promising.

Looks good Dave, just make sure when you go through the wheel arch you have plenty of room round the tyre.

We thought we had and I mullered my tyre !!!

how much room did you have then, and how much have you got now ?

assume it mullered the tyre thru heat , not obstruction ?

With my hand on the tyre and fingers around the back the exhaust didn't touch fingers.

 

Two up on the way to Stafford last Sept. the tyre was rubbing on the exhaust pipe.

 

I have now fitted some coil spring assisters, 25mm hub spacers, repositioned the pipe slightly and fitted a stronger silencer mounting.

 

Seem to have about 40 mm now, so fingers crossed.

closest mine gets so far is the inside corner of the tyre, misses by about 20mm... but it is heading away from the tyre at that point, (if that makes sense?)

was going to lag the 3 inches that are close to the grp, and tyre, then wrap the lagging with some ally tape that i have
