Air tools are good, you may benefit from using an air rivet gun.

Cleckos are good to locate panels

A good quality rivnut tool

Welder or at least make friends with someone who has one.

Mains drill and high power battery drill, soft start or multi speed.

Hi Gazza, get down to Aldi, they may have left there compressor which is about £79.00 I think comes with some tools, well worth it,have one myself.

They also have other air powered tools, which are normally about half the price of other places such as machine mart.

The Aldi tools are quiet good I have the impact wrench, reversible ratchet, all work well.

If the store is out of stock get them to ring around others in the area.

Hope you will be happy

Hi Gazza,

Get it ordered!!!!

All you will need tools wise in addition to what you have is an air rivet gun, some skin pins, drill and assorted drill bits (3.2mm, 7mm and 10mm are most popular). Compressor is advisable but there is no welding t be done and very little if no fettling on the latest Zero!!!

thanks for the reply

will go to aldi today and see if they have any left and will also get some skin pins.

as for drills i can (borrow) :D these from work as we have good quality drills there. but i do also have some here.

when you order the kit does it come with all the riv-nut fittings ? if so what size are they so i can look to get an air powered gun to use on them

thanks

Mostly what the guys are saying but in you need anything special ask on the forum. I have borrowed a few tools that I would only use once and not worth buying.

In the downloads section on the GBS website, there is a PDF document that tells you what tools you do, and do not, need. You won't need a welder and you can get away without air powered tools, although these will make it easier. I have used a hand held rivet gun and although it makes your arm ache, it does the job perfectly well. Same with the rivnut tool. You can also use the supplied screws instead of skin pins if you want. The thing is you can spend the extra if you want, but you don't have to. It is amazing how quickly the costs associated with these things can add up. Garage lighting, shelving, new tool box, new tools work stands, axle stands and so on. Before you know, you have spent £500 or more!!!
