Which Sierra's Does The Rhe Locking Cap Fit?

G'day all

 

I am selling off the left over spares and parts from my build and have had a question on one item.

 

The locking fuel cap that is supplied with the kit states that it only fits up to 1987 models....but I thought they were all the same????

 

Can anyone clarify???

Surly it’s a aero style cap?? nothing like the original.

The 2003 kits had the Aero caps - mine was 2002 and had a locking cap for a normal Sierra filler pipe which you were supposed to cut and shut to make fit.

 

I brought an Aero cap hence its spare......

The early sierras had key operated filler caps.

Later models had a flap that was released by lifting a lever next to the drivers seat.

i bought my sub k at the back end of 2002 and it came with the aero cap and a rather strange looking piece of pipe
