Happy Birthday for yesterday, Peter. Hope you had a good one. 48 was a very good year!

 

I missed it cos I was out with the bogans and hoons at what was the strangest petrol powered event I'm ever likely to see. Burnout contest! Imagine 50 V8 powered cars, some superchargers, a sprinkling of nitrous, and one at a time they did burnouts lasting up to 5 minutes continuous or till both rear tyres popped or the engine broke or they caught fire. Totaly bogus event and all spectators had their life expectancy reduced by 20 years from inhaling four hours worth of tyre smoke. Looking around at the spectators I thought 'Deliverance'.

Many thanks, less horse power than yours Nigel, about 20 of us go on a cycling pub crawl around near by villages arranged by a friend with the same birthday, the number of miles we travel seems to get less each year!
