Zetec Won't Fit :(

Guys I'm after a bit of advice

 

I own a 2b but after spending a small fortune on bike carbs and reconditioning the Zetec to find it won't fit I'n the engine bay because the bulkhead is I'n the way and the peddle box is attached to it . I'm now going to have to put the bike carbs on the 2.0 pinto instead which has ruined my dream for the car .

 

 

Have any of you had any similar issues with yours ? Just so I know what you did to combat this ?

you could fit a floor mounted pedal box .

i have zetec in mine it does fit there are differant ways of doing it you can cut the tube thats in the way and modify it thats what i have done i also have floor mounted pedal box

or you can move the engine and gearbox forward but you would need a new prop and a grearlever extension

Look at my garage pictures I've done it.

You have to chop two tubes out and move em(so it your car doesn't fall in half)

I used the Gbs pedals cos they are cheap

Bin the brake servo

 

 

Or get a Longer prop made

pedal box arround £300 , if you want a better engine mayby its worth it .

i dont particularly like the floor mounted system but its a way arround it .
