2b 4into1 Exhaust

just wondering how the silencer is finally fixed in to the 4into1 manifold. As the mainifold pipe hasn't been cut it would seem putting an exhaust clamp on would not do anything to tighten things up. So, is it just a case of bunging in exhaust sealing paste?

 

Any help and suggestions much appreciated

You will need to cut a couple of slots in the end. The neatest way is to stick two hacksaw blades in the hacksaw at once so you have a thick blade, this gives a nice straight slot.

I used a couple of stainless jubilee clips, with the screw bits hidden underneath.
