Bike Fuel Pump Needed

Hi all as per title. I'm sitting in a country lane waiting for a tow truck as the pump has packed up. Still. At least its lovely and sunny.

I managed to get one off ebay for a ZX6, same as the carbs I have on... But what a mission, I started off looking to replace the old R1 pump and both

the big breaker yards in Leicester had none, then on ebay they were stupidly expensive, in some cases it was cheaper to buy new. What a rip off?

I did manage to get one for £35 all in eventually though.

Just hope its a case of putting the 2 wires into the R1 relay and not having to get another relay to suit.

Ill pop round in the morning anyway mate if your in.

I may have been bidding against you on some of those zx6 pumps, managed to get one for £30 in the end. is it necessary to use a bike pump relay or is that just for ease of installation?

I must admit that electrickery is a black art to me. But I think it wouldnt do any harm to have a relay.
