Can't stop smiling! my car passed IVA today

 

I phoned for a retest date earlier in the week, called back on Wednesday to be told they were having difficulty fitting me in before they close (in the next 3 weeks) but they could do it on Saturday morning if I could manage that and they would wave the normal extra fee for it being Saturday. So of course I said yes, I'm now exhausted due to being quite busy at work just now and working on the car until past midnight on Wednesday and Thursday to try and get it ready, managed to negotiate Friday afternoon off and so with invaluable help from 'the prisoner' (Westfield owner just starting a Sylva J15 build), I had my car loaded on a trailer last night (borrowed from another kit builder).

 

Its taken me 4 years and 11 months to get the disaster I bought on ebay a the pass certificate. I've learnt masses and met a lot of great people along the way.

 

Now if the DVLA will play nicely (already had my BUI) I might manage to get out while we still have some good weather.

 

Thanks to everyone on here who has offered advice and information with a special mention to Grizzly's website which was a constant source of infomation during the early days of my build.

 

Better get the screen and the hood out of the attic if I'm going to make it to Stoneliegh or Newark this year.
