Silencer Heat Shield

Has anybody purchased or made one recently to fit a Zero,the guy on fleabay makes them for 50£ but you have to find a way of rounding the ends for IVA.

Didn't need a heat shield when we passed IVA 15 months ago.

Although not needed for IVA I used a piece of bright ally from B&Q. Four rivnuts into the silencer body and four bolts and spacers. It stayed cool and could be edged front and back for IVA radius.

For IVA used exhaust wrap.

Stopped any 'burns' and also covered any edges that would have failed the radius checks.

The exhaust looked a bit 'Mummified', but went through ok

I used split copper pipe then silver soldered the ends together to form a hoop (done fitted to the silencer) and applied a little araldite to hold it all in place. Looks okay when polished and passed IVA earlier this year. I'm sure I nicked this idea from someone on here, RobinJ66 should possibly be given the credit for this idea.
