New Paint Job Started

first you spray it black and let it dry, then spray it in this case metalic silver. Whilst it is still wet dab it with a plastic bag i use a morrisons carrier.

Let it dry, then 2 coats of shimmer and 5 coats of candy red and last 2 coats of clear. it needs rubbing down now and then buffing, t it looks good so far

hoping not to mess it up when i buff it.

Paul make sure the paint is really dry and solid before you buff and use loads and loads of soapy water. If it catches then its back to the start, did that with my bonnet and then spent a week redoing it all.

looks really good. What type of paint is that. cellulose?

 

I am looking for a red laquer for my guitar project as i want the grain to show through. What is the candy red? is that a standard type of red laquer or do you make it up with red and clear?

 

are you doing all of the car like that?
