Robin Hood S7 Build Manual & Build Feed

Hello

Does anyone by anychance have a copy of a S7 build manual on PDF they could send me please or a build feed i could have the link to.

I purchased a S7 rolling chassis the other week and spent the time completely stripping it back down to give it a complete rebuild. ( I have taken Photo's along the way ) As this is my first attempt at building / rebuilding a kit car i'm doing it blind as i dont have a build manual.

I'm a little stuck on the rear suspension and what holds the springs in place ? and is there a way off upgrading the rear to coilovers ??

If these someone in the South Yorkshire Area with a S7 i could come and have a look at that would be great.

Many thanks

Luke

Hi Peter

No i didn’t get the log book with the car........do you know if this will be a problem if i want to put in though the SVA ?

the plan is to full strip it back and start again....its my first go at a kit car so will try not to cut too many corners but these a big list of this to do and with me working abroad its going to be hard.

Things i have done so far are.

Fully stripped the car back,

Rear arms, Beam, diff &breaks have been taken off and fully refurbished.....new bushes on order.

Front end needs to be taken off when I’m next home and refurbished along with bushes ( maybe new suspensions )

Old wiring loom removed.......... New loom will be ordered next month

Rear arches, mud guards & nose cone been sanded ready for new paint ( Orange )

Front mud guard supports sent off to be remade ( old was looked like a 5 year old welded them up )

Roll bar stripped ready for bottom cross bar to be welded on.

Thing purchased so far.

2.0L Zetec Engine

KOSO RX2n+ Digital Dash Gauge Speedo

John Ashley competition exhaust

New Rear drums

I still have a lot to get but the main thing on my mind is the strengthening of the monocoque and if it will pass the SVA.........i have seen on the locostbuilders that some last month had one pass so fingers crossed.

Has anyone got any advise on where i need to added support ?

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but without the V5, you will likely never get that car on the road as it will not pass IVA (replacement for SVA).

I have a list somewhere of areas that need strengthening but the one I remember off the top of my head is the steering column supports.

If the car is not registered and not on the road the only reason for a V5 is for the donor vehicle so you get an age related registration, without this you get a Q

No big deal

Do some searches on this forum all the monocoque info is there

Main points are seat belt mountings and the rear upper seatbelt mount height

Steering column mountings

Roll bar fixing

Sharp edges

Dash bottom edge
