Missing Coilovers

Does anyone know why some hoodies dont have coilovers on the front they seem to have nothing that cant be right can it?

 

Coz i looked at my car the other weekend after having it in store and mine arent there?!?!?!

 

and now i think of it i dont think i had any so does that mean my car should have some?

i think you are refering to certain models that have inboard suspension. The top wishbone acts as a level and has a section that continues inside the body. As the suspension rises the level pushes down on a coilover shock.

As Dan says, the series 3 defo hibernate in winter, as do the S7 MK11

It was such awful weather last year mine stayed in hibernation all year

If you remove your bonnet and look in the nosecone area you will find your missing coilovers. They normally tend to hibernate in there during the winter months as it's warm

 

(Or it could be they are mounted "In-Board" and not actually hibernating)
