Wheel Carrier 2B

Hi has anyone cut the spare wheel holder of there 2b as thinking of doing it and just wanted to know if should or not?

Ickle & Obecanobe on here have just done it transforms the look of the rear end of the car just carry a can of tyre weld with you if your unlucky enough to get a puncture

i cut mine off about a month ago looks so much better just make sure you cap the pipe off,i bought some off ebay will try and get a link for you and find some pics

I cut mine off my series 3, looks much nicer without it.

Our rear was trimmed in order to fit the tow hitch, this ball & bracket sleeves into the chassis tubes.

Definitely looks better, been thinking about ditching my spare and cutting off the carrier.Mine is all bent and rusty, looks like someone has made it out of the legs of an old stool. Has anyone ever used the tyreweld and does it work ok? What about using a space saver tyre, maybe stow it in the passenger footwell.

At the end of the day we all have recovery(don't we)

Or it is a a std ford offset borrow someone spare or buy from a scrappys to get ye home.

Ahhhh whats the worst yhat could happen I am now in the same boat as most new car owners they are all going down the no spare route.
