Swapping Out 1.6 Pinto To 2.0 Pinto

Hi Iv just brought 2.0 pinto 205 block for my 2b which at the moment has a 1.6 pinto in what I need to know is will my 5 speed box fit and clutch and fly wheel and will I need to change the dizzy many thanks planning to change next week

Existing will all fit on and I would use original dizzy also as it matches rest of your wiring already. Easy job to do, easier with gearbox out the car.

easy swap, I had my st out and my pinto back in on my own in no time, started at 6 drove it home just before 9... if I had had someone to help with the lift it would have been quicker

I think the 1600 clutch and the bolt PCD on the flywheel for the clutch are smaller

The rest is a simple swap

My 2.0 flywheel and clutch fitted to my 1.6. The original 1.6 flywheel and clutch where smaller and didn't fit my gearbox (type 2)

swapped my 1.6 for a 2ltr used the 2ltr clutch fitted straight onto 1.6 box works fine just trying to get the bike carbs to work now got it to tick over nice last night back at it today

Snapperpaul is correct when i swapped mine from 1.6 to 2.0 there was a different PCD for the flywheel bolts.

Very odd. As I said above, I am running a 2.0 flywheel and clutch on my 1.6, no alteration needed, bolted straight on.

It's 5 speed box so dizzy will be fine and starter motor etc so ill try and fit 1.6 gear box thanks for your help
