Good for cleaning the engine out, because of the lack of vehicles using 10/40 autodata now list 5/30 as an alternative for colder climates

I agree but 10w40 is ok on a good engine but the pinto was designed to use 20w50 as that was about the only multigrade oil available at the time.

15 /40 semi synthetic ,widely available good as anything on the market, but I would not go any thinner .Std cap 3.75 ltrs modded sumps can and will vary but even then std capacity is good ,mine will take upto 4.75 but generally run with std levels mowerman :clapping:
